About the project
The documentary ”While You Were Gone” is about a man facing a life-defining moment and pondering his difficult relationship with his father. The film is going to be shown at film festivals around the globe and was in need of a strong visual identity.
Solution
A strong typographic illustration is the main element in the identity. The illustration is a metaphor for passing time and rings on water, and for behaviours that are reproduced and inherited from generation to generation, until someone discovers the pattern and break it.
