About the client
Marcus Samuelsson is a passionate chef, author and entrepreneur based in New York. Mateus is a Portuguese ceramics manufacturer based in Stockholm. Now, for the “Mateus meets Marcus” collection they meet for the first time.
About the project
The project consisted of creating a visual identity for the “Mateus meets Marcus” collection, which reflects Marcus Samuelsson’s soul and artistry, and the ceramic mastery of Mateus. The identity should have strong ties with the current visual identity of Mateus.
Solution
The black background and white typography from the Mateus visual identity has been kept, as well as the yellow secondary colour. The round solution of the logotype suggests that the name of the collection can be read ”Mateus meets Marcus” as well as the other way around.
